What the audit checks
BeacX reads your public pages the way a search engine does, then scores them for Google and for AI answer engines such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. The technical SEO audit and the AI search check run in the same crawl.
| Area | What we look at | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Access | robots.txt rules for Googlebot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot; noindex tags; redirects and broken pages; sitemaps | Each blocked or broken page by address, with the line to change |
| Titles and structure | titles, meta descriptions, headings, duplicate pages, canonicals, internal links | A page list sorted by what costs you most |
| Structured data | every JSON-LD block checked against schema.org, the business type you declare | A paste-ready JSON-LD file for each page that needs one |
| Answers | whether each page opens with a direct answer, passages short enough to quote, llms.txt | The pages AI engines are most likely to quote, and the ones they skip |
| Trust | named authors, update dates, credentials, and on health sites a separate medical reviewer | Where a byline or date is missing, page by page |
| Local details | name, address and phone across pages; branch and multi-location sites | Mismatches with the pages they sit on |
| Languages | page language, right-to-left layout, hreflang pairs, scoring in Arabic, Turkish, Urdu, Azerbaijani and German | Problems a translation tool would not show you |
| Speed (optional) | Core Web Vitals through Google’s PageSpeed API, with your key | Slow templates, not just slow pages |
Search Console access is optional. With it, the audit adds a list of searches where you sit on page one or two and a fix could move you up.
What arrives in 5 working days
First comes the verdict. It is one page with one AI search readiness score out of 100, the kind of work your site needs, and the fixes that would move the score most. Each fix carries a time estimate, so the owner can read it in five minutes and pass it on.
Behind it sit the checked findings. Each one has the page address, what we saw on the live page, why it matters, and what to change. Findings we could not confirm on the live page are left out.
Your developer gets the workbook: more than 40 sheets, from technical checks to answer passages. Our own site’s workbook had 59 sheets on 17 October 2026. Structured data comes as separate schema files in JSON-LD, one per page, ready to paste. joycheck.io got 29.
You also get a one-page comparison with up to three competitors on 17 measures, and the three gaps to close first. Then a 45-minute call, recorded if you like, to walk through the order of work.

How the audit works, day by day
- Day 0. You send the website address and up to three competitors. No login is needed.
- Day 1. BeacX reads the site, one or two pages at a time, following your robots.txt.
- Days 2 to 4. A person checks every finding against the live page and removes anything that does not hold up. On health sites the medical checks are read twice.
- Day 5. You get the verdict, the findings, the workbook and the schema files, and we book the call.
How it compares with tools and agency audits
An automated tool is fast and cheap, but nobody checks what it says. An agency audit is checked, but it usually costs more and takes weeks. We sit between the two on purpose.
| Automated audit tool | Productised audit service | UK agency audit | BeacX full audit | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price seen on 20 Oct 2026 | about $20 to $79 a month [1] | $500 to $1,000 per audit [2][3] | £2,500 to £7,500+ per audit [4] | $749 |
| Time | minutes | about 10 days to 30 business days [2][3] | 2 to 4 weeks [4] | 5 working days |
| Findings checked by a person | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Paste-ready structured data | rarely | no | no | yes |
| AI search readiness scored | some, as a list | varies | from the higher tiers [4] | yes, one score over four layers |
| Arabic and Turkish pages scored in their own language | no | no | no | yes |
The weakness of our approach is depth on very large sites. Above a few thousand pages, or with many locations, the large site or multi-location audit ($2,249) is the right one.
Who this audit is for, and who it is not for
It fits a business that has a working website and wants to know, in order, what is costing it visits from Google and AI answers: a clinic, a law firm, a local service, an online store, a SaaS team. It also fits an agency that wants a checked report under its own brand.
It is not the right buy if you need links built or articles written. The audit tells you what to fix. It does not make the fixes, unless you add the Fix Pack or a monthly plan.
Questions about the SEO audit
How much does an SEO audit cost?
The BeacX full SEO and AI audit is $749, about half of what comparable checked audits cost. The free check is $0 and covers the one-page verdict. The Fix Pack is $199: we make three on-page fixes and refund you if the readiness score has not moved after 30 days.
Will an audit affect my rankings?
No. BeacX reads public pages the way a search engine does. It changes nothing on your site.
Do you guarantee results?
We do not promise rankings or AI citations, because they depend on things outside your website. We promise the findings are real: if a finding we checked turns out to be wrong, tell us and we correct the report.
What if my site is built on WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Webflow?
The audit reads the pages your visitors see, so the platform does not matter. Some fixes differ by platform, and the findings say where.
Can I see a sample first?
Yes. The sample reports are real verdicts from four of our own sites, from a 93 to a 21.
Order the audit
Send the website address and the competitors you want compared. If the free check already shows nothing worth fixing, we will tell you before you pay for more.
